Howard LaGardé, President
Howard LaGardé brings over 35 years of experience in finance and enterprise development to the DTMI team. Throughout his career he has lead and developed a multitude of public and privately-held companies, new business units and non-profit organizations. LaGardé's primary expertise lies in business development, strategy and corporate coaching and he has successfully mentored organizational leaders, corporate executives, managers and business teams. In addition to providing the corporate development leadership with DTMI, LaGardé is the founder and principal of Venture Hill, an enterprise development firm headquartered in Santa Rosa, California. He also develops the Alpha Leader Training Program, a global executive leadership program that provides strategic and action planning, leadership training and mentoring for individuals in emerging or reforming organizations.

Peter Rosomoff, Co-Founder and Executive Vice President
Peter Rosomoff leads strategy, business development and operations for the company. He brings a broad range of experience in management training and corporate development to the DTMI executive team, most recently serving as Executive Director for the Sterling Institute where he was responsable for leading the organization to a worldwide membership level of over 40,000 people. Rosomoff has produced, written and led numerous motivational training and leadership seminars in addition to directing corporate events, including a variety of workshops and management retreats. He has also consulted with several startup and mid-range companies in the information technology arena, providing direction and leadership in corporate training at the highest levels of security operations. Rosomoff holds a xxx degree from xxx university where he studied math and physics.

Jonathan Kaplan, Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer
Jonathan Kaplan provides the technical leadership and vision behind DTMI. His software engineering experience and technical accomplishments span more than 15 years and he brings high-level expertise in information security systems development in addition to applied cryptography, digital certificates, electronic commerce and risk management. At Wells Fargo, Kaplan served as Consulting Systems Architect for the Chief Scientist and was responsible for the design and deployment of the first "live" Internet-capable "digital cash" system using the Mondex Smartcard Architecture. He also served on several PKI working groups with CommerceNet while at Wells Fargo, in addition to assisting the company with the due diligence of various PKI technologies. Prior to founding DTMI, Kaplan served as the technical director of the ECommerce Unit at Pilot Network Services, Inc. (NASQ:PILT) where he helped launch a successful IPO. He began his technical career with Digital Equipment Corporation, holding a variety of positions including Technology Consultant for DEC's west coast systems integration group and Principal Software Engineer for the OpenVMS Development Group. Kaplan holds a BSEE from Cornell University.

Malcolm Colton, Vice President of Marketing
After a 20-year career in software development and management ranging from system software to applications for education and business, Malcolm Colton turned to marketing at Sybase. He became director of product marketing, with responsibility for SQL Server, Replication Server (which he helped design), Navigation Server and Secure Server. He was key to the successful System 10 launch. Colton found his niche in startups when he joined Illustra. There he was instrumental in creating and marketing the new category of Object-Relational Database Management Systems, positioning Illustra for a $400M acquisition by Informix. He marketed the combined Universal Server product after the Illustra acquisition, and then joined startup Cloudscape. As vice president of marketing, he defined and positioned the new category of lightweight Java databases and assisted in the acquisition of Cloudscape by Informix for 10 million shares. Colton was born in England and schooled in Australia, where he earned a B.Sc. (Hons.) in biology. He is an American citizen.

Daniel Laraway, Vice President of Sales
Through a career in financial services that has spanned 20 years, Daniel Laraway brings extensive experience in Financial Services to the DTMI team. He has built up and managed millions of dollars of assets for a variety of companies including PepsiCo, xxx company and xxx company. In addition to holding certification as a financial planner and financial management advisor, Laraway holds a Bachelor of Science from Michigan State University and a Masters of International Business from the American Graduate School of International Business (Thunderbird).

Lexa Luo, Director of Business Development
Lexa Luo brings over 20 years of experience in medicine, biotechnology and international business to DTMI. After a childhood career as a ballet dancer and a top finalist in China’s national competition, she graduated at the top of her class in medical school and began residency at the age of 20 at Beijing Union Hospital. After winning a scholarship to conduct research on cardiovascular diseases, she moved to Europe, where she first served as the medical director for the Asia Pacific region for Sanofi and conducted clinical trials in Paris France. In 1994 Luo took a job with Bayer’s world headquarters in Leverkusen, Germany, where she served as the country coordinator for business planning and corporate finance for Asian countries. She later moved to Toronto Canada where she held a position as Bayer’s Senior Marketing Manager and was instrumental in doubling the company’s market share. Luo holds an MBA from the Asian Institute of Management, a Masters of Science in Pharmacology from the Marie Curie Institute in Paris France, and a Masters of Science in Intellectual Property Law from the Franklin Pierce Law Center in Concord, New Hampshire.

David Wood, Director of Engineering
David Wood directs DTMI's engineering from the office of Plugged In Software in Brisbane Australia, which he co-founded in 1995 to provide high-quality off-shore engineering services to US technology companies. He is a strong supporter of Open Source software and he maintains the Linux SMB HOWTO. Prior to starting Plugged In in 1995, Wood consulted with Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and Netscape Communications on Internet technologies, in addition to spending nine years in the US Navy working as a systems engineer and deep sea salvage engineer in Eastern Asia, the US and Central America. Wood served as President of the Australian Java Users Group from 1997 to 1999 and published his first book in 1999, entitled Programming Internet Email (OReilly and Associates). A second edition is in progress. He holds a degree in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering, a Master of Science in Astronautical Engineering, a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the US Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Virginia Military Institute.
